SaborCiudad is the Spanish-language edition of the dining engine behind SaborCidade, rebuilt for Mexico rather than translated into it. Eight verticals — restaurantes, taquerías, cantinas y bares, cafeterías, marisquerías, panaderías, pizzerías and heladerías — carry 48 guides in total.
The market changes the content, not just the language. Prices are quoted in pesos, propina conventions are Mexican, and consumer rights are framed around PROFECO instead of Brazil's Código de Defesa do Consumidor.
Taquerías and marisquerías replace the Brazilian botecos and churrascarias, PROFECO replaces the CDC, and every price range is rewritten in pesos. The rendering and schema layer is shared; the editorial layer is native.
Coverage ties commodity moves to the check: coffee records in New York against MX$45 a kilo paid in Chiapas, a MX$5 rise on tacos and the quietly vanished second tortilla, the end of the Gulf shrimp veda.
Adding Mexico cost a content tree and a locale, not a new platform — the same Go binary and LevelDB store that run the Portuguese edition serve this one, which is what makes a per-market rollout worth doing at all.
