AutoCidade is a nationwide directory of automotive services in Brazil — mechanics, auto-electricians, body shops, tire services, car wash and accessories — covering 50 cities and 16+ service categories.
I designed, built and operate the whole thing: data pipeline, storage, rendering, editorial content and search-engine distribution. It runs on a single Go binary with an embedded LevelDB store, no external database server and no framework.
Business records are ingested from Overture Maps, deduplicated, normalized and geocoded into city/category indexes. Every listing page is served straight from LevelDB with no query-time joins.
The AutoCidade Assistant lets an owner describe a symptom in plain Portuguese and get a likely cause plus which specialist to look for — which then routes them into the relevant category and city listing.
60+ guides organized into topic clusters, plus IndexNow submission on publish. Instrumenting real traffic showed Bing sending roughly 28x more visits than Google for this content — so the indexing strategy was rebuilt around it instead of around Google defaults.
